In queste tre settimane trascorse presso Aegagros abbiamo potuto apprezzare le stanze ampie e arredate con gusto, le belle terrazze con una vista eccezionale, le ottime colazioni e le cene preparate da Nila con cura e con stile, il giardino e le viti supervisionati dal gentilissimo Ilias e, last but not least, l’incredibile e rilassante quiete . Grazie ancora di cuore a tutto il team dell’Aegagros per questi fantastici giorni, che ci mancheranno sicuramente!

Es war wunderbar. Wir haben die Tage sehr genossen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam und wir wurden sehr gut betreut. Ein Highlight war jeden Morgen das Frühstück! Die Aussicht ist herrlich und wir haben jeden Abend den Sonneuntergang von der Terasse aus genossen. Vielen lieben Dank für die schöne Zeit und die Gastfreundlichkeit.

Aegagros Caldera Houses was exceptional and we really enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Vangelis and rest of the staff. They were exceptional. The view from Aegagros is spectacular and we probably had the best view from our room as well. I need to give a special mention of Elias who was the stewart who set the breakfast for us in the morning. He and his wife were awesome and cooked a wonderful dinner the last night we were at the property. Fantastic experience and recommend the property to anyone who wants a restful, hospitable environment.

This has been my second year in a row at Aegagros and I loved it even more this time around! I don't know where to begin, but it feels like my home. I am so comfortable there, that it is almost surreal. It is an escape to a peaceful/restful oasis with the most spectacular view EVER! The overall hospitality and the cuisine served there is beyond what I can explain. Wir waren zu dritt bei Euch und durften eine Woche entspannen. Es ist schon toll, wenn einem auf der eigenen Terrasse das Essen serviert wird - zu Hause haben wir leider keinen eigenen Butler. Die grandiose Aussicht hat uns davon abgehalten, auswärts essen zu gehen... Vielen Dank dem ganzen Team!

We had a wonderful stay of almost a week at Aegagros Caldera Houses in May 2018. So happy we booked this place, a short stroll from the uncrowded village of Megalochori, in what is without any doubt the better part of the island, near to Pyrgos (a nice 35 minutes rural walk along vineyards) and Acrotiri (catch the local bus). Every day we enjoyed the comfort of our house and bed, the wide view from our terrace, and the delicious home made food - especially the copious breakfast, the most delicately gourmet morning treat that can possibly be found in this world. Thanks to Katerina, Neela and Elias for their warm attention which made our stay an unforgettable experience!

This place is truly one of a kind! The staff is amazing. They take care of everything for you from booking transfers and renting cars, to offering their recommendations on what to do. They do this on a personal, face to face basis. And don’t get me started on the breakfast they prepare for you! I have dietary allergies and they made an amazing breakfast, just for me, every morning! The grounds are amazing, the views breathtaking and they truly treat you as part of the family. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! You will not be disappointed staying here!

I’ve Been in Aegagros with My Family and our dog Mia in August 2018 and we’ve Passed 10 unforgetable days in Aegagros Houses!!! The sunset view is somenthing magic!! Anastasia was always very nice with us and disponible. The “staff” of Aegagros is Super specially Helias !! The restaurant service is very good!! Lo scrivo anche in Italiano: Soni stato ad Aegagros con la mia famiglia e il nostro cane Mia in vacanza per 10 giorni . È stata una vacanza meravigliosa grazie (oltre al bellissimo posto dal quale si possono ammirare tramonti mozzafiato) anche alla gentilezza e massima disponibilità di Anastasia!! Il suo staff è efficientissimo!! Ci siamo affezionati in particolare ad Helias che ogni giorno ci portava delle colazioni buonissime!! Il ristorante merita perché oltre alla location si mangia veramente bene!!

We spent three nights at Aegagros, in a beautiful open space villa very tastefully decorated and provided with all comforts: we had the best time ever. The view from our veranda was the most breathtaking (we enjoyed every sunset there, in a quiet, suggestive and unique atmosphere, far from the busy crowd we saw elsewhere). Every breakfast was a lovely home-made surprise, and dinner at the restaurant (where it is possible to book fresh seasonal food in the morning) was the most relaxing and tasty experience (a magic combination of lovely food, incredible view and coziness) we also really enjoyed the Aegagros Vin Santo and wine ( home-made from the house vineyard). Our host was always very helpful and kind: she made us feel at home all the time. Staying at Aegagros is a great different way to enjoy Santorini : we surely hope to go back.

My family and I spent four wonderful days at this beautiful and unique house the host and staff were warm friendly and extremely accommodating. The view from our private terrace was breathtaking and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable. Hope to return again

Die Tage im Juni auf Santorini waren wunderbar und die liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung in den Aegagros Caldera Houses war die schönste Unterkunft unseres Kykladen-Urlaubs. Der Ausblick auf die Caldera ist traumhaft. Die gute Küche ist lokal und bodenständig, zum Frühstück gab es jeden Morgen etwas Besonderes, weit entfernt von und über jedem Hotelstandard. Katerina hat uns äußerst freundlich empfangen und uns gute Empfehlungen gegeben. Das Dorf Megalochori hat einen ruhigen, entspannten Charme, eine kleine Oase. 100%ige Empfehlung!

Liebe Katherina und Team, der Alltag hat uns wieder und wir denken sehr gerne an die zwei Wochen in Aegagros Caldera Houses zurück. Was hatten wir für eine schöne Zeit! Viel Sonne, viel Wind, viel Meer, VIEL AUSBLICK, viel Kultur, viel (zu viel) Essen - aber was für ein Essen! Wir fühlten uns jederzeit wohl bei Ihnen und danken für die wunderschöneh Tage. Unseren allmorgendlichen Spaziergang hinunter zur Caldera vermissen wir, danke für den Tipp. Auch für so manche Gaststättenempfehlung. Die Häuser und der Garten sind mit viel Liebe und Geschmack ausgestattet, was sehr zu zu unserem Wohlbefinden beitrug. Danke für die außergewöhnlich herzliche Gastfreundschaft Ihnen und allen Ihren Helfern.

Die Aussagen anderer Gäste haben mir bei der Entscheidung für Aegagros Caldera Houses geholfen. Die dadurch geweckten Hoffnungen wurden nicht enttäuscht! So möchte ich nun auch einen Beitrag für das Gästebuch schreiben. Mein Mann war vor 40 Jahren schon einmal auf Santorini, in Oia. Er hatte mir viel davon erzählt. So hatte ich ein Quartier gesucht, das unseren heutigen Bedürfnissen nach Ruhe und Erholung entsprechen würde. Ich bin froh, dass wir Aegagros gefunden haben. Natürlich wollte mein Mann ein wenig auf den Spuren seiner Vergangenheit wandeln. Wie befürchtet fand er fast nichts wieder, wie es damals vor dem Tourismus-Boom gewesen war. Unser Quartier bei Kyría Katerina war der ideale Ort, um sich mit den Veränderungen zu versöhnen, die die Zeit nicht nur an der Insel, sondern ebenso an ihrem Besucher hinterlassen hat. Dazu trug nicht nur die einmalige Lage abseits vom Trubel am Rand des liebenswerten Dorfes Megalochori und mit Aussicht auf beide Enden der Insel und direkt auf den Vulkan bei, sondern vor allem die Einstellung der Gastgeberin (bzw. der Gastgeberinnen, wobei wir die Popi genannte Schwester Kalliopi diesmal nicht kennen lernten): sie tun ihr Allerbestes, um dem Gast ihre Insel nahe zu bringen und lieb zu machen. Sie vertrauen dabei auf die Liebe, die durch den Magen geht (- dafür haben sie wohl das Frühstücksfest erfunden, das sie den Gästen jeden Morgen bereiten). Und sie vertrauen auf Respekt vor Natur und Kultur (- daher gibt es keinen Swimming-Pool, aber man kann an der Weingarten-Mauer den hauseigenen Kapernbusch bestaunen; die schönen alten Möbel ebenso wie die Kapelle von Hagia Marina gehören dazu). Wer im Meer schwimmen möchte, findet dafür einen Weg, per Bus oder Mietwagen. Sonnenbaden kann man auf der Terrasse ebenso gut wie am Strand - oder besser. Und aus eigener Erfahrung nach Rückkehr ins kalte Deutschland füge ich hinzu: Menschliche Wärme wirkt länger nach als die schönste Sonnenwärme. Allgemein ist eine Ferienwohnung mit Frühstück und vollem Service eine gute Lösung für Individualisten mit Erholungsbedarf. Wer außerdem noch Genuss, Ursprünglichkeit und Kontakt zu Land und Leuten sucht, ist bei Aegagros richtig! Und für das was geboten wird, ist das Quartier nicht einmal teuer. Hello Katerina, Nous sommes bien rentrés dimanche. Ici, il fait froid et il pleut. Nous voulions encore une fois vous remercier pour le chaleureux accueil dont nous avons bénéficié. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances, dans un cadre magnifique. Vos petits déjeuners resteront longtemps un très bon souvenir. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce studio au grand charme. En effet, le studio est isolé des autres et offre une grande tranquillité idéale pour profiter d'un panorama à couper le souffle sur l'ensemble de la caldeira. Le soir nous avons profité de superbes couchers de soleil tout en étant confortablement installé sur la grande terrasse. En plus, l'ensemble du personnel est très accueillant et les petits déjeuner exceptionnels. A découvrir pour profiter de Santorin à l'écart de la foule !

Aegagros is a little paradise on earth. The view is amazing (possibly the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen), and the houses are all decorated with great taste and personal touches. The site is easily accessed and sheltered from the crowd and noise of Santorini’s tourist centers. The hosts were all warmly welcoming, helpful and hospitable – even the cute little kitty was friendly! And the homemade breakfast was delicious, varied and cooked with mostly local produce. In many ways the place combined the best aspect of a hotel in the level of service and comfort with the coziness and charm of a family home. A perfect base to spend some days in Santorini! I spent a week there many years ago in my teens and had always hoped to go back one day. I left this place a few days ago hoping for exactly the same thing again in the future!

The welcoming friendly family environment of the Aegagros Caldera Houses is truly exceptional and unique. I found Poppy, Katerina and Anastasia quite charming and nothing was too much trouble. The colossal breakfasts (gourmet standard...Simply delicious) was served on our private terrace with the outstanding panoramic views of the volcano, as the backdrop. Amazing sunrises sipping great coffee and stunning sunsets sampling the families delicious home made wine (I highly recommend the red) So relaxing and rejuvenating, I had the most amazing massages on site and Reiki too! I also took advantage of other beauty treatments, manicure and pedicure, especially after a full day on the beach! I felt as though I were staying with friends.... The local beaches of Perivolos and Vlichada were only a short car ride away, great taverns and restaurants too. Highly recommended...Have booked for next year!

J'ai pu passer 5 jours extraordinaires au sein d'une petite maison cycladique typique avec une vue imprenable sur le volcan. Ces maisons d'hôtes font honneur à la tradition grecque avec une accueil chaleureux, familial et exceptionnel de la part de l'équipe de Katarina. L'ambiance y est apaisante, la disponibilité de l'équipe pour organiser notre découverte de l'ile sans faille et les petits déjeuners avec vue paradisiaque dignes de grands chefs ! Ce lieu est idéal pour un séjour différent, plus intimiste et permet via le bus à 2mn à pied de visiter toute l'ile. Je recommande vivement ce lieu pour les couples ou les amis souhaitant se retrouver au calme. Mention spéciale pour les massages ! Thomas de Paris

My friends and I spent five days and four nights at Aegagros Caldera Houses. It was the most amazing time of my life. Never have I felt so welcome! Katerina and Anastasia were extremely helpful and gracious. The food served to us each day was a gourmet treat beyond description. My friends and I enjoyed the cooking demonstration in Katerina's kitchen...it was a highlight of our trip! The Aegagros Caldera House should be experienced by everyone!

Truly unique experience in an overlooked & tranquil part of Santorini which allows you to fully enjoy the almost spiritual influence of the island's natural beauty; this is partly achieved by providing you "shelter" from the overly crowded on busy months Fira or Ia. The house was great, with modern facilities yet with an authentic feel. The people running the place are friendly and efficient; they really make you feel "home". The wonderful breakfast has the same effect. I hope to be coming back 🙂

Παρά το γεγονός ότι το συγκρότημά σας βρίσκεται σε ένα τόσο όμορφο και ήσυχο μέρος, σχεδόν στις άκρες του ηφαιστείου, οι παραλίες και οι πόλεις είναι άμεσα προσβάσιμες. Οι κατοικίες σας έχουν όχι μόνο διακοσμηθεί με γούστο, αλλά είναι και άκρως λειτουργικές. Η μεγάλη ιδιωτική βεράντα προσφέρει μοναδική θέα της θάλασσας, της Καλντέρας και των γειτονικών νησιών. Ονειρεμένη η εικόνα του ηλιοβασιλέματος που μπορεί κανείς να απολαύσει κάθε βράδυ μέσα στην ηρεμία του, χωρίς να πρέπει να πάει στην Οία και τα Φηρά, μακριά από τις ορδές των τουριστών. Το πρωινό μοναδικό, γευστικότατο, πλουσιοπάροχο… δεν πιστεύω πως έχω ποτέ συναντήσει κάτι ανάλογο σε μεγάλα ξενοδοχεία ή συγκροτήματα, μια λέξη αρκεί: άψογο. Μόνο εδώ θα ξαναερχόμουν ακόμα και με βροχή ή το χειμώνα. Η ξεχωριστή φροντίδα των επισκεπτών ήταν άκρως εκλεπτυσμένη και διακριτική, κάνοντάς με από την πρώτη στιγμή να αισθανθώ σαν στο σπίτι μου. Επιστέγασμα των μοναδικών διακοπών μου, το εκπληκτικό (και συνάμα οικονομικό) μασάζ που έκανα στο κέντρο διαλογισμού που βρίσκεται κοντά στο συγκρότημά σας. Σε ανθρώπους που θέλουν να περάσουν μοναδικές διακοπές σε ήρεμο και εκλεπτυσμένο περιβάλλον, σε ένα από τα ωραιότερα μέρη του κόσμου, προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα το συγκρότημα Aegagros Caldera Houses! Liebe Katharina und Team! Wir kamen ins Paradies! Diese Aussicht auf die Caldera einfach sensationell! Das Frühstück super lecker! Jeden Tag eine andere Überraschung! Der Service perfekt! Die Sonnenuntergänge fantastisch! Danke nochmals für das leckere griechische Abschiedsessen in deiner Küche. Wir haben uns alle wohl gefühlt in dieser Runde. 1000mal efachisto aus Deutschland und wir hoffen wiederkommen zu können.

liebes Aegagros Team, vielen Dank für den traumhaften Aufenthalt. Obwohl die Anlage schön, ruhig und direkt am Kraterrand gelegen, sind Strände und Städte schnell erreichbar. Die Häuser sind sehr geschmackvoll und komfortabel eingerichtet. Die eigene größe Terrasse bietet einen spektakulären Blick über das Meer, die Caldera und die Nachbarinseln. Der Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang ist traumhaft und muss sich nicht hinter Oia oder Fira verstecken zumal man ihn in Ruhe abseits der Touristenströme abend für abend genießen kann. Das Frühstück war sensationell, lecker, verschwenderisch... ich weiß; nicht, ob ich jemals auch in großen Hotels oder Anlagen je etwas Vergleichbares gesehen habe, super. Allein hier für würde ich auch im Winter oder bei Regen wieder hinfahren. Die individuelle Betreuung war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und umsichtig, ich habe mich eigentlich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Abgerundet wurde der Verwöhnurlaub durch Massagen im nahegelegenen Meditationszentrum, wunderbar (und bezahlbar). Für Menschen, die einen individuellen Urlaub in stilvoller Atmosphäre und Ruhe an einem der schönsten Plätze dieser Welt verbringen wollen sind die Caldera Houses die richtige Empfehlung! efcharisto und lieben Grüsse aus Deutschland Helmut

It was really beautiful. So beautiful that we decided to wake up early enough for sunrise, which was even better. The apartment was built and furnished with grate taste and a personal touch which made it feel like home, the breakfast was generous and tasteful and also contained some special items. The landlady was very hospitable and nice. We appreciated it and enjoyed it a lot. We hope to come back.

We only stayed for a few days , but wished it could have been longer . A wonderful place to relax , choose from sitting in the sun or shade , in the breeze or in a sheltered location , or looking at the magnificent views of the sea or the rest of this magnificent island . The breakfasts were superb with everything fresh and so much that we invariably saved some for later in the day . We also thought we would have to use air conditioning , but the breeze coming through the bedroom window was all we needed . All in all a magnificent location , wonderful hosts and a great place to unwind . Thank you so much.

Αν θέλετε να κάνετε διακοπές σε ένα χώρο που να διαθέτει α) Εξαιρετική ανθρώπινη ζεστασιά β) Διακόσμηση των δωματίων από την οικογενειακή κληρονομιά (κεντήματα, έπιπλα, διακοσμητικά) γ)πλούσιο και υγιεινό πρωινό με χυμούς, κρέπες, ντοματάκια και άλλα είδη από τον κήπο δ) απέραντη θέα και να βλέπεις τη δύση του ήλιου από το μπαλκόνι σου – μερικές φορές και την Κρήτη αν οι καιρικές συνθήκες το επιτρέπουν ε) ανθρώπους πρόθυμους να εξυπηρετήσουν αλλά και να πεις δύο κουβέντες μαζί τους πίνοντας βυσσινάδα ( ή ότι άλλο θέλεις) δικής τους παραγωγής ... Ε! τότε o "Αίγαγρος" είναι η επιλογή σου στη Σαντορίνη...

Unsere Familie war vor kurzem eine Woche lang in Aegagros Caldera Houses. Eine unvergessliche Woche… Wir haben uns alle nicht nur erholt, sondern richtig verwöhnen lassen. Das einmalige Frühstück lauter leckere selbstgemachte Produkte wird immer noch von uns jeden Morgen erwähnt. Die Gastfreundschaft und die tolle Bedienung des Personals waren einfach perfekt! Im super eingerichteten Haus, sowie im wunderschönen Garten fühlten wir uns richtig wohl. Die Kinder spielten stundenlang im Garten und wir genossen die umwerfende Aussicht. Wir denken gerne an die schöne Zeit, die wir in Santorini hatten, und hoffen, Aegagros Caldera Houses und Santorini bald wieder besuchen zu dürfen. Hiermit möchten wir uns nochmals bei Ihnen für die schöne Zeit herzlich bedanken!

The hospitality and the friendy/family welcome of Aegagros' people, made me decide for the first time, after 15 years I have been visiting Santorini, to choose the same hotel for my stay. Easy access, very clean, excellent service, great home made breakfast served in your room and the MOST magnificent view in the Kaldera with the volcano "next" to you. The ideal location for holidays to remember of!
