We are happy to inform you that we are safely reopening and accepting guests as today June 15th 2020!
We are here to offer you an exceptional accommodation experience at a welcoming environment in Santorini.
We have adjusted our operations and services according to the guidelines provided by WHO and the Greek National Health Organization, promising an amazing, carefree stay at Aegagros Caldera Houses.
Social Distancing at Aegagros:
The estate is located at the outskirts of Megalochori, a tranquil, picturesque village far away from the busy, touristy towns of Fira and Oia.
Our Villas are spread within our 5.000 square metre Vineyard Estate, each coming with its own private terrace and with plenty of free surrounding space, and spectacular views to the volcano.
Both your breakfast and dinner – prepared from scratch at our cuisine – are now served at your Villa’s terrace.
Safety comes first:
Up to date, there have been no reported incidents of the new corona virus at the island of Santorini.
However, we feel greatly the need to provide all the necessary circumstances so that we can limit the spread of Covid-19 to its extreme.
We therefore follow a line of new regulations which preserve the safety of our guests’ and personnel’s health.
Further below we share a few of the steps we follow so we can safeguard everyone’s health :
- Daily ventilation of your Villa
- Extensive cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and high touch items, such as knobs, taps, switches and remote controls.
- Thorough deep cleaning of bed linen and towels at high temperatures at designated areas of the hotel by our trained staff.
- Well stocked first aid kit.
- Designated doctor on call.
- Contactless check-in/check-out, upon request.
- We provide personalized assistance and information about things to do and see in Santorini via mobile apps or email assistance.
- Outdoor reception desk.
- Contactless payment systems.
- Breakfast and dinner are served at your private Villa. All Food Safety Policies are followed, with constant cleaning and disinfection of the kitchen and other food preparation areas.
- Outside visitors may not enter the Villas.
- Daily ventilation of the Villas. (1-3 hrs)
- Upon each departure, every Villa is deep cleaned and disinfected, ventilated for a 3-hour period and remains vacant for 24 hours.
- Hand sanitizers are available at every Villa and communal spaces.
- The “Vineyard’s Terrace Restaurant” dinner menu is accessible online helping you order straight from your telephone or laptop.
- We provide you with surgical masks and gloves, upon request or necessity, according to the new safety guidelines.
- Villa keys’ disinfection upon every departure.
- In case a guest exhibits Covid-19 symptoms the operational plan, as dictated by EODY, is set in motion. Our designated doctor will test the guest for the new coronavirus. If the test comes out positive, we inform EODY and assist the guest so they can follow the instructions given (14 day quarantine to designated hotels on the island).
- Please, inform us if you would prefer to avoid having our cleaning services on a daily basis.
- We change your bed linen every 4 days and your towels every other day.
- Our staff is undergoing extensive health and safety training regarding our new operational system.
- We have appointed a team responsible for overseeing the protocols.
- For 2020 we will apply a new cancelation policy at Aegagros Caldera Houses: you can now cancel your stay up to one week prior to your arrival. In case you cannot travel to Greece due to urgent Covid-19 travel restrictions and you do not fall under our new cancelation policy, you can receive an 18-month long voucher.
